Beaujolais Chardonnay 2008

Terroir

Beaujolais Royal Chardonnay is the exception within the family, the only one made from Chardonnay grape, and not Gamay. Having its true home in the very close Burgundy vineyards, starting in nearby Maconnais, this grape give also its best on the limestone and clay terroirs, combining substance and freshness. The grapes are pressed immediately after harvest, and the wine matures in stainless steel vats to provide a pure, light and un-oaked Chardonnay.

Tasting

A dry, white wine with a beautiful golden-green colour, always very perfumed and fruity. The refreshing sensation of citrus melds with a round structure, to fill up your palate with pleasure. A very refreshing wine, with a good roundness, and lengthy finish.

Wine & Food

Beaujolais Royal Chardonnay will accompany the most simple starters (charcuteries), up to the most elaborate dishes (shellfish gratin, prime fishes cooked in sauce)

Service

Beaujolais Royal Chardonnay should be served reasonably cool, around 12°C, and even as an apéritif.
