Beaujolais Rosé 2008

Terroir

Beaujolais Rosé may not be as famous as red Beaujolais. But it is another splendid expression of the association of the Gamay grape and the splendid terroir of Beaujolais. Harvested and pressed within a day, the clarified grape juice then slowly ferments at low temperature for a couple of weeks, to retain all its aromas and flavours. After fermentation, the wine is quickly filtered to preserve all its fresh, youthful characteristics.

Tasting

Le Rosé de Beaujolais Royal offers a shiny and lightly salmon-coloured robe. On the nose, very refined and delicate tropical fruits (banana, grapefruit) aromas arise. In mouth, we enjoy a supple attack with a rounded, and well-balanced mouthful, ending on a quite lively note with citrus flavours.

Wine & Food

A light, pleasant wine, that is well suited to light summer dishes including, cold meats, barbecues, or with a fruit tart as a dessert.

Service

Enjoy it from now up to the end of the year. Serving temperature: 12°C
